Malie recipes for a healthy breakfast for the kids

Breakfast is very important for the children, anyway it is often forgotten because of the strong wish to play, go out in nature or prepare for school. We can imagine breakfast as a fuel – kid’s whole body, including the brain, receives new energy for a good start of the day. We have prepared some nutritious and delicious children’s breakfast ideas, for which you do not need more than 5 minutes.
Homemade kids granola
Ingredients
- 1 tsp. of coconut oil
- 2 tsp. of honey
- 1 tsp. of vanilla extract
- 200g oat porridge with banana
- 100g dried fruit
- 50g seeds
Directions
Preheat the oven to 180° C. Place the coconut oil in a small bowl over a pan and heat until it melts. Add honey and vanilla extract, then mix well. Then, mix all the ingredients together, place on a baking tray lined with baking paper and bake for about 30 minutes.
Prepare the granola in advance and store it. For a delicious breakfast add the granola into yogurt or milk.
Carrot energy balls
Ingredients
- 200g soft dates
- 200g grated carrots
- Super Fruity oat porridge
- 50g coconut flour
- 1 tsp. of strawberry peanut butter
- vanilla powder
- 1 cup coconut flour to sprinkle
Directions
Add all the ingredients in a food processor and mix them to get a slightly sticky but compact mass. If the mass is too dry, add another tablespoon of water, and if it is too wet, add an extra tablespoon of coconut flour. From the mass, form balls and roll them in coconut flour.
Banana pancakes with fresh figs
Ingredients
- 1 ripe banana
- 3 TBS. of Malie oat porridge with banana
- 1 TBS. of coconut oil
- 2 TBS. of gluten-free flour
- 1 egg
- 1 tsp. of agave syrup
- 1/2 tsp. of baking powder
- chocolate topping
- fresh or dried fruit

Yogurt bars
Ingredients
- 2 Greek yogurts (or coconut yogurt)
- 1 cup of Super Fruity oat porridge
- 1 tsp. of honey
- 1 cup of fresh fruit
- 50g coconut oil
Directions
Prepare the yogurt bars a day before. In a bowl, mix the honey and yogurt. Spread the mixture on a tray lined with baking paper. Sprinkle the oatmeal and fruit over the mixture and let it settle. Cover the tray with foil and place it in the freezer overnight. Take out from the freezer, place the baking paper on a cutting board and cut into bars.
Oat porridge with banana
Ingredients
- 200 ml plant-based milk
- 500 ml water
- 150g oat porridge with banana
- pinch of salt
- 1 banana
- 2 tsp. of agave syrup
Directions
Heat the pan with the milk and water to a medium temperature. When it boils, add the oat flakes and a pinch of salt. Stir and cook for about 5-7 minutes. Place the oatmeal in a bowl. Peel and cut the banana, and add it on top of the porridge. Top with agave syrup.
Choco drink
Raw and organically grown cocoa drink, sweetened only with coconut sugar and enriched with natural source of calcium from the seaweed Lithothamnium calcareum. It is a great alternative to regular cocoa.
Mix two tablespoons of cocoa with hot water, plant-based drink or milk, wait 2-3 minutes and enjoy it.
