HOMEMADE PUDDING
I bet most of you often want something sweet, but you don’t have time to do it. Or you find yourself in a situation where unannounced guests come and want to surprise them. One of the faster and simpler desserts that can be prepared quickly is definitely homemade pudding.
Homemade pudding is much healthier than the one we find on shelves in stores. We can prepare it exactly according to our taste and also customize the ingredients to our wishes. To make the recipe even healthier and tastier, we recommend the calorie-free natural sweetener – Erythritol and Bio Cocoa Powder.
Utensils
- Wide pot
- Spoon and whisk
- Plastic container
- Stove
Ingredients (6 portions):
- 1l milk
- 4 eggs
- 6 teaspoons erythritol (natural calorie-free sweetener)
- 2 packs vanilla sugar/ 2 vanilla pods (seeds)
- 2 teaspoons cocoa powder
Method
- Pour a litre of milk into a saucepan. Mix the remaining ingredients well in a plastic container. If you want the pudding to be chocolate flavoured, add the cocoa to the end. Before heating the milk, take 4 tablespoons of milk and add to the eggs and sugar. Mix everything well with a whisk.
- Start heating the milk and just before it starts to boil, pour the egg mixture into it. Now, on medium heat, stir constantly with a whisk until the pudding thickens. When the pudding begins to heat up, remove it from the stove. Pour the pudding into the cups you soaked in water.
- Before serving homemade pudding, make sure that the pudding cools. Cover the top with foil, as this prevents the formation of skin. Then place it in the freezer for at least 15 minutes, preferably overnight. Chilled pudding can be stored in the refrigerator for up to 3 days.
- Many other combinations can be added to the pudding. We recommend adding grated chocolate, pears or a spoonful of your favorite liqueur. You can decorate it with whipped cream and sprinkle oatmeal or coconut chips.
TIP: If you want vanilla and chocolate pudding but don’t want to cook them both, add a teaspoon of cocoa powder to the vanilla powder at the end and mix.
COCOA POWDER
Organic cocoa powder is unprocessed and organically produced from whole cocoa beans of the highest quality.
It contains magnesium and iron to help reduce fatigue and exhaustion, and zinc protects cells from oxidative stress and helps maintain healthy hair, nails and skin. Manganese, copper and vitamin C are also responsible for a good effect on the immune system. It is a rich source of antioxidants, which exceeds even green tea in the content. Cocoa powder can be added to hot or cold drinks, yogurts, smoothies and fresh pastries.
ERYTHRITOL
It’s a calorie-free sweetener. It has a low glycemic index and has very little effect on raising blood sugar levels, making it great for diabetics and anyone living a healthy lifestyle. It looks very similar to sugar, in the form of small crystals.
Why should you switch the sugar for Erythritol in this homemade pudding recipe?
It’s calorie-free, so you can eat the pudding without guilt
Because it has a low glycemic index,
Because it has about 70% of the sweeteness compared to regular sugar, so our pudding will taste the same as if we put regular sugar in it,
Because diabetics, vegetarians and vegans can also enjoy it.
