Homemade Protein Granola
It’s time to make a new batch of the homemade protein granola!
Homemade protein granola is healthy, vegan and doesn’t contain any added sugar. To make it sweet and crunchy, we add some honey which can be substituted with maple or agave syrup. If you love the flavour of chocolate, you can also add two tablespoons of cacao powder.
Use whatever ingredients you like – dried fruit, different nuts, seeds, spices and your favourite chocolate, type of fat, sugar and everything else. It’s completely up to you so make it your own.
INGREDIENTS
- 2 cups cashews
- 2,5 cups oats
- half a cup of seeds of your choice (flaxseed, sunflower seeds, ..)
- half a cup cacao beans
- 1 cup of dried fruit
- half a cup of coconut chips
- 3 cups chia seeds
- 8 tablespoons cacao butter
- 2 tablespoons chocolate protein
- 1 tablespoon cinnamon
METHOD
Grind the cashews in a food processor and put in a bowl. Add the oatmeal, seeds, cocoa beans, dried fruit, protein, cinnamon and coconut chips. Melt the cocoa butter over low heat and pour it over the mixture of nuts, seeds and flakes. Mix everything well and arrange on a baking tray lined with baking paper.
