Homemade energy chocolate
Are you willing to learn how quick and simple it is to make homemade energy chocolate? It is intertwined with the rich chocolate aroma of cacao butter and raw cacao powder.
Unlike chocolates sold in shops with a long list of ingredients such as lecithin, milk powder and refined sugar, raw chocolate is made only out of dietary healthy ingredients.
Raw cacao powder has incredible health benefits. It is extracted from non-heat-treated hand-peeled cacao beans and is rich in antioxidants. It contains more than 300 phytochemicals, proteins, vitamins and minerals. While the benefits of cocoa in classic chocolate get lost by heat treatment, it is also one of the most common allergens due to its milk content and additives. You don’t have to worry about that with raw cocoa.
INGREDIENTS
- 90 g cacao butter
- 35 g extra virgin coconut oil
- 35 g hazelnut spread
- 30 g thick, rich coconut milk
- 3 ½ to 4 tablespoons raw cacao powder
- 4- 5 tablespoons coconut sugar
METHOD
- When making chocolate, timing is crucial to get it looking beautiful and smooth. Over a bain-marie melt cacao butter, coconut oil, hazelnut butter and thick coconut milk. Mix carefully.
- Blender coconut sugar till it forms a powder. When all the other ingredients melt, take the mixture off the heat and leave it on room temperature to cool. When it reaches 28 C, add cacao powder and coconut sugar. Blend till smooth.
