Healing Maitake mushroom
Maitake mushrooms are known to help treat viruses, bacterial infections, cancer, diabetes and many other illnesses. In Japanese, the name means “a dancing mushroom”. Legend has it that people danced with joy when they found this mushroom.
Maitake grows in the forest at the bottom of trees, in the form of shrubs that reach 50 cm in height and width. They are known as Japanese mushrooms used in Japanese and Chinese medicine for restoring body balance. Due to the content of strong polysaccharides, they stimulate the immune system. Research has also shown that they have the ability to regulate blood glucose levels, blood pressure and insulin. They are great for weight loss due to the regulation of cholesterol, phospholipids and triglycerides.
They are rich in minerals (calcium, potassium, magnesium) and contain vitamins (D2, niacin, B2). They also contain fibre and amino acids, which are essential for the proper functioning of the body. They are a rich source of polysaccharides and polysaccharide-protein complexes that the body uses to boost the immune system.
Asian doctors have used medicinal mushrooms such as Maitake for hundreds of years to cleanse the blood, help with respiratory illnesses, improve the functioning of internal organs and as a remedy for all sorts of diseases.
